Anti-discrimination Statement
In the aftermath of the genocide of 1994 Rwanda has a huge population of orphans. The lives of children in Rwanda are devastated by the compound effect of war, HIV/AIDS, and poverty.
We uphold that every child is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in the Declaration of Human Rights, "without distinction of any kind, such as race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status".
Activities of the Amahoro Foundation are fully aligned with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. No discrimination among the foundation beneficiaries or project participants is allowed. Every project is thouroughly reviewed to ensure that all parties are treated equally. |
