Virtual Non Government Organisation
What does it mean that Amahoro Foundation is a VIRTUAL NGO?
If you have some experience with charitable work you might have noticed that often the end beneficiaries receive only a small percentage of the money actually donated.
It is difficult to avoid "collateral" expenses: administration, offices maintenance, communications, travel, vehicles, salaries.
The "virtuality" of the Amahoro Foundation is an idea to improve the efficiency and provide the maximum percentage of the funding to the end beneficiaries.
We are a virtual NGO because we use the "virtual reality" of the Internet to maintain our projects.
- No office buildings, for the legal purposes we use
the home addresses of our board members and representatives
- Volunteers and no permanent staff - all work is done
on contractual basis per project.
- Inexpensive communications over internet, email is the
base, teleconferencing when needed.
- Amahoro community development.
- Fundraising is based on project business plans. We approach corporations, governments, other NGO's and we count on your support as individual donors over the Internet.
- Feedback per project addressed to individual donors.
- Transparent financial information.
